Ah (Censored); I have a problem with InDesign 8.01 aka CS6.
My computer is a 2010 Mac Mini, 8 GB ram, OS 10.8.2, hard drive about 35% full.
Opening a saved document, 10 pages, mostly text, takes 3 or 4 minutes.
Saving the document after a few changes to the text also takes 3 to 5 minutes.
This makes working in InDesign rather annoying --- to say the least.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled InDy several times, run Font Book, Disk Warrior, Drive Genius and Tech Tool, subtracted and added every font in the machine, in various orders of removal and InDy restart, tried CS_5.5 and CS_4(also on the machine, same problem) and even tried the mystical remedy of repairing permissions.
All to no avail.
At the moment, I have moved everything to Pages (sorry about that) where there are no problems, but I strongly prefer InDy, or would if I could speed things up.
Any Suggestions???
