Script about Dynamic Bookmarks (Parent/Children)

Hello!

 

I'm writing one script for dynamic bookmarks with Javascript into InDesing, I'm saying to InDesign that when found an "@", will create a Bookmark with the word before of the caracter.

But I need to write a code that will do "Parent" to the first bookmark, and "Children" to all the consecutives bookmarks.

 

Do you know how to solve this?

Here is my code:

Indesign CC in El Capitan

Hi!

I installed creative cloud on my computer yesterday and Photoshop and Illustrator work perfectly, but my Indesign kind of refuses to open! He opens the programm but then he frezzes and doesn't do anything anymore. I have to force quit the programm. I read that it could help to turn off the automatically hide and show menu bar. I did that but it doesn't change anything!

Could perhaps somebody help me?Thank you!

Same image appears differently on different Indesign pages.

For some reason when I drop an jpeg into Indesign on page it looks fine, but the same image on another page, it appears washed out. They are RGB images, but not sure why one page would look great, but another bad. Any ideas?

Hi there, i wonder if anyone can help - I'm new to InDesign and i think i've somehow managed to 'overwrite' A-Master pages with the 'none' pages, as my A-Masters are no longer replicating throughout the document.

Hi there, i wonder if anyone can help - I'm new to InDesign and i think i've somehow managed to 'overwrite' A-Master pages with the 'none' pages, as my A-Masters are no longer replicating throughout the document.  Screenshot of the problem below.  Does anyone know how to undo this?  I've tried to the ctrl+shift+alt and 'reset' preference files and also uninstalled inDesign and neither have worked - am i missing something obvious!? Thanks in advance...  I'm using Windows OS.

Indesign crashes each time I click on the edit button

Each time I use the edit button while working on a document, Indesign crashes. These are the comments. I am not tech savvy so any help would be appreciated.

How do I change the appearence of checkmarks for an interactive PDF (and make it work when exported)?

Hello everyone,

 

I'm creating an interactive PDF in InDesign. I'm using checkmarks in the design and i would like to customize the appearance because the standard checkmark is, well, very wingdingslike...

 

I've managed to customize the appearance, but when I export the PDF things go south. The design looks good when I open the exported PDF, when a checkmark is ticked it's still OK, but when I click anywhere else on the page the checkmark changes to the standard checkmark.


I work in CC2015, using Acrobat Pro DC on a Mac.

I have InDesign installed some years ago. Now it will not open and I get a message that my 30 day trial is up but the activation path does not work. Anybody else have this problem?

Een bestand van mij is corrupt waardoor InDesign een foutmelding geeft op tekstkaders en het niet meer werkbaar is

Hopelijk kan iemand mij helpen!!!

Bij één bestand (helaas een magazine) crasht het bestand en krijg ik deze niet meer geopend in InDesign.

Foutmeldingen over tekstkaders en als ik zeg verwijderen crasht InDesign weer.

I'd like to draw a text box around an area and move the text it surrounds into the box, keeping positional information intact. How can I do that?

I'd like to draw a text box around an area and move the text it surrounds into the box, keeping positional information intact.  How can I do that?

 

I have a page of paragraphs that are positioned correctly.  I'd like to be able to separate them into separate text boxes.  Is there an easy way to do that?

Is there an easy way also to split a text box without changing the position of the text inside?

ik krijg het niet voor elkaar om een door komma's of tabs gescheiden file (ge-exporteerd vanuit Excel) te openen in Indesign CC 2015.

Ik krijg constant de melding "Gegevensbron kan niet worden geopend. Bevestig dat het bestand bestaat, en u de rechten heeft om het te openen"

Ok als ik in de finder (command-I) zorg dat het bestand door iedereen te lezen en te schrijven is, en van het slotje is gehaald.

 

Wat doe ik fout?

I am trying to find my InDesign preference defaults--I am using CS2. They are supposed to be in a Version 4.0 folder. Could this be because I haven't set any preferences?

My marketing assistent uses Indesign cs5 for windows (full license) to make our new catalog. Now I want to check, text, prices, art. nrs etc. using my macbook air, how can I organise this and do I need to buy a full license? If so what do I buy best?

Font Warning Color Alert

So, the top color means that the font is missing. I see that from time to time, but what about the lower one? It's set to All Caps, and does not show the gold color in the original document, but does when I paste it into another. I tried looking up what the color codes were, but I'm not sure what they are called, so if there is somewhere anyone would like to point me to get this info on my own, that would be great. Thanks.

Replace lacking Euro symbol in paragraph

Hi guys,

 

For a report i have to use an specific font which is a bit old and does not have the EURO Symbol. I get the "pink" missing symbol and it is too time consuming to change it one by one in 40 pages. How can i replace just this specific symbol with a different font. I tried Search Text but actually there is no missing font is just a character "within" this font.

 

Any help or ideas?

Why are images from Illustrator 6 pixellated in ID 6, but not in ID5.5?

I have checked and double checked preferences in ID 5.5 and 6 and they have the same boxes checked or unchecked, but the illustrations still go from Illustrator to ID6 and end up pixellated.  If I copy or drag from Illustrator 6 or before and paste into ID5.5 they are fine.

Indesign will not load the pdf of my book. Although it will load in Acrobat pro DC.
